Review: Baskin Robbins Cookies ‘N Cream Polar Pizza – Cacio Bebe

today I ’ meter sharing a review of the Baskin Robbins Cookies ‘ N Cream Polar Pizza, which I tried for the first time over the weekend with my boyfriend and his family. arctic Pizzas were launched in 2016 ( they even had a BeaverTails version in Canada ) and distinctly have some staying exponent because they ’ re still around !
The web site describes this detail Polar Pizza as “ A double fudge brownie crust with OREO® Cookies ‘ north Cream Ice Cream, topped with crush OREO® Cookies pieces and drizzled with marshmallow and fudge top-flight. ”
But was the solid greater than the sum of its parts ? Let ’ s find out .

Appearance: ★★★★☆

This “ pizza ” comes in a cute pink, amobarbital sodium and white pizza-style corner, with a clear window that shows you what ’ sulfur inside. On the presence it says “ an ice rink cream dainty you eat like a pizza. ” If you didn ’ thyroxine know what Polar Pizza mean, nowadays you know.

Upon open, it looks pretty decadent. You can see the base brownie layer, ice cream and crumbled Oreos, disingenuously drizzled with two different syrups : chocolate fudge and marshmallow .
As the Baskin employee told us, it ’ s pre-cut so the slices come apart relatively well .
overall, I would give this four stars for appearance. The polar Pizza looks reasonably and entices you to try it if decadent desserts are your thing. The fact that it ’ sulfur pre-sliced makes it that much more convenient to dig in .

Taste: ★★★☆☆

The Polar Pizza is sugary. That ’ s it ’ s defining characteristic. It ’ s so sugary that you should have a looking glass of urine nearby because you ’ ll want it after your first pungency. One piece is decidedly more than enough and is going to make you in truth thirsty .
We found the general taste to be a spot like an ice cream sandwich. The elf bed is voiced rather than crunchy, and kind of melts in your mouthpiece. I liked this, but others wanted a more crisp base. And, for the come of Oreo ice skim and actual Oreo crumbles, the Oreo flavour itself was surprisingly not very solid .
We were split on whether this was better or worse than the Baskin Robbins ice cream cake. If you ’ re person who doesn ’ thymine love ice rink cream patty ( like myself ), you may actually prefer this. The lower internal-combustion engine cream-to-brownie ratio means it ’ s less overwhelmingly ice cream-y and cold.

Novelty Factor: ★★★☆☆
Desserts that look like other foods are constantly fun, and indeed is the pivotal pizza ! It ’ s not quite like a very pizza though. It says you can eat it with your hands, but if you did you ’ d have a adult mess on your…hands. The cold brownie melts and gets all over you, so I would suggest using utensils .
early than that, this is probably something that would be great at a kids birthday party or as something to liven up the monotony of COVID-era dinners at home. It ’ s improbable to become a regular dessert in your take-out repertoire .
Value: ★☆☆☆☆
The Polar Pizza is $ 28 canadian dollars ! That ’ south pretty expensive for a humble or tied mid-tier ice rink cream chain. It ’ sulfur cut into eight slices, thus $ 3.50 per piece before tax. For comparison, you could buy a throng of Magnum internal-combustion engine cream bars for $ 2.30 per bar, or Haagen-Dazs frosting cream bars for $ 2.23 per bar. They ’ rhenium not precisely the same thing, but Magnum and Haagen-Dazs are both high-end brands that make top quality ice skim .

Conclusion: Would we recommend it?

You ’ re truly paying for the bangle aspect, so if that ’ s what you ’ ra looking for then this is a unique treat. If you want great taste, I would recommend something else, like an ice rink cream bar or a elf with some ice skim on circus tent. Both are less sweet and better value !

I ’ m silent concern in trying some of the other varieties, like the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and the Mint Chocolate Chip. ultimately though, I wouldn ’ t buy the Cookies ‘ N Cream Polar Pizza again, and merely one of us said they would recommend it .
A final thing to note is that on the US web site, you can order a custom Polar Pizza with a choice of one base ( chocolate chip cookie or elf ), ice cream, one clear and two syrups. This true looks pretty playfulness ! It doesn ’ thymine seem to be available in Canada, however they do sell make-your-own Polar Pizza kits .
hope that you enjoyed this honest Baskin Robbins Polar Pizza review and that it helps you make your following important dessert decision ! It is an significant decision after all. Leave a comment or your own Polar Pizza follow-up if you tried it – what did you think ?
