This is an easy one … microwave ! With a little wish and a few easy steps, your microwave can serve up absolutely cooked baked potatoes. You can decidedly spend the hour + time needed to make these doubly baked potatoes in the oven but why spend that time if you don ’ t have to ?

CAN YOU FREEZE TWICE BAKED POTATOES?

Oh heck yea, you can ! ! ! Simply follow the instructions below but stop before cooking them. alternatively move the pan to your deep-freeze and freeze the Quick Twice Baked Potatoes for 2 – 3 hours or until wholly freeze. Move them to a slide fastener top bag and memory in your deep-freeze up to 3 months. To reheat in the oven, place on a pan and cover with foil. Cook in a 350 academic degree oven for 45 mintues before removing the foil and then cooking for another 15 minutes. If you want them quicker than an hour, start them off by cooking the Quick Twice Baked Potatoes in the microwave on high for 10 mintues and then moving them to the 350 degree oven to finish for 15 – 20 minutes. You could besides just reheat them in the microwave but they will not be a crisp as if you had heated them in the oven .

easy ! To make these Quick Twice Baked Potatoes, pre-heat oven to 425 degrees and line a baking pan with foil or parchment paper. Wash and pat the potatoes dry. Take paper towels and lightly run them under running water. Squeeze out any excess water and wrap each potato in a damp paper towel. Move the wrap potatoes to a microwave safe dish and hotness on high for 5 minutes. Turn the potato over and heat on high for another 5 minutes. If your potatoes are a moment large, you may need to one more excrete of 5 mintues. Once they are cooked, you should be able to insert a tongue easily into your potato .

once potatoes are cool enough to handle, slice potatoes in one-half lengthwise and run a knife along the away of the inside of the potato, careful not to puncture or slice the potato hide. Using a spoon, lightly scoop out the potato insides into a large shuffle bowl .

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes

  • 1 adhere butter softened

  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese divided

  • 6 slices bacon cooked chip or 1 pouch pre-cooked bacon bits

  • 6 green onions diced

  • 3/4 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • PS … these besides freeze beautifully .. barely make and bake them and then transfer them to a slide fastener lock bag when they have cooled .. they can then be microwaved or heated back up in the oven ( thaw them in electric refrigerator nightlong ) for another 20 minutes at 400 degrees

Using a spoon, gently scoop out the potato insides into a large mixing bowl. Do not take the spoon all the way to the skin, leave a bit of potato around the edge to give the potato skin structure. 

  • To the mix bowl and potato, add the butter, most of the chopped tall mallow, most of the bacon, dark cream, milk, salt and pepper and most of the green onion. Using an electric mixer or hand masher, blend until the potatoes are the consistantcy you enjoy ( chunky vs smooth ). Spoon filling back into the potato boats and scatter with the reserved shred cheese, bacon and greens onion. Line up the potatoes on the prepare bake plane and broil in the oven for 15 minutes or until tall mallow is melted .
